Homecare News - New service announced

New service in conjunction with Yorkshire County Cricket Club - Press release

Independent Home Living, the Yorkshire-based premium home care provider with offices in Scarborough, Wetherby, York and Beverley are delighted to announce a brand new service in conjunction with Yorkshire County Cricket Club, and their sponsorship of Yorkshire opening bowler Steve Patterson for the 2011 season.

Designed to help those Yorkshire supporters and cricket fans who would ordinarily find it difficult to attend matches at Headingley or Scarborough alone or without assistance, or are concerned about finding their way around the ground once there, IHL’s new service will provide a fully-trained and friendly member of their care team to assist them. The IHL representative will travel with the client to the ground, assist them with whatever they may require while at the match, and then travel home with them again when they are ready to leave.

Commenting on this new initiative, Independent Home Living Director Alison Thompson said:

“Independent Home Living is delighted to be able to offer this service in association with such a fantastic institution as Yorkshire County Cricket Club. We as a company are very proud of our Yorkshire heritage, and know how passionate and loyal the region’s cricket supporters are, so it makes perfect sense for us to assist as many people as possible in this way. We are proud to have become the official Home Care provider of YCCC, and to sponsor a player as talented as Patto”

Following the announcement of the new service, Yorkshire CCC first-team player and opening bowler Steve Patterson said:

“This is an exciting time for Yorkshire County Cricket Club. We have a young, talented first team squad now, and we are extremely excited about the upcoming season. We are really pleased to have a Yorkshire-based company with the pedigree of Independent Home Living helping as many fans as possible to share this with us, and I am hopeful we can give them plenty of success in return.”

Bio - Steve Patterson

Steve Patterson was born in East Yorkshire in 1983, and studied mathematics at Leeds University. He made his Yorkshire debut in 2005, and has gradually made himself an integral part of the first-team bowling unit. The 2010 season proved to be a particularly successful one for him, taking career best figures of 5-50 in Yorkshire's win over Essex at Scarborough in the County Championship, and followed that with 6-32 in a CB40 win over Derbyshire at Headingley Carnegie.
